Sophia is a humanoid automatic robot produced by Hanson Robotics located in
Hong Kong. It had been made to answer questions and was interviewed throughout the world. In Oct 2017, the automatic robot became a citizen of
Saudi Arabia, the first automatic robot to get citizenship from any country.
Sophia challenges normal thinking about just what an automatic robot should be. Made to appear to be Audrey Hepburn, Sophia embodies the basic beauty of Hepburn: porcelain pores and skin, thin nasal, high cheekbones, interesting teeth and deeply expressive eye that appear to improve colouring with light. If there is an automatic robot with a straightforward elegance that folks cannot help but appreciate, it might be Sophia.
